WORK
I was a Ph.D. student in the petroleum
engineering department
at Stanford University.
My master research at Stanford was concerned simulation of
random
fields using FFT.
I completed master degree in September 1996. I was working
in the area
of geostatistics and also received training in reservoir engineering.
My Ph. D. researh was devoted to integration of 4D seismic data, geostat
data and possibly production data for reservoir characterization.
My research group was
SCRF and my advisor were Clayton V.
Deutsch
and
Andre Journel.
I have not finished it because I wanted to make big bucks and got a little
tired of studying and doing research. So I took a job in Geoquest at Houston.
There I am working as a software engineer in reservoir modeling group.
I am developing object based simulation program for fluvial environments.
It works amazingly fast: example with 15 wells was
generated in 20 seconds.
