I was born in Moscow, Russia, in 1971. I graduated from "Kerosinka" or, more formally, Oil and Gas Academy with the degree in applied mathematics. I am very grateful to my professors and to the state in general for providing me with a free, excellent education that allowed me to enter Stanford University - the best University on the planet (all rankings list it as one of the 5 top, but they forget about a great Californian weather).
I got my Master's at Stanford and then studied for Ph.D. there for a while. I decided to go for a job before finishing. I live in hot Houston now.
I like to play volleyball, soccer and tennis. When I don't play, I work. During the lunch and on weekends I read anekdotes or Russian news . While reading anekdotes or news I listen to classical music . Some old pictures of me, my family and my friends.
My friend lives in Australia and I might go to live there some day.
